The History on Wheels (HOW) tour was started in 2017 by the Bellefonte Woman’s Club.  During the hour-long guided tour, historical characters will board the bus to share their life stories and history of the buildings will come alive.

Start the tour at the American Philatelic Center, former home of the Pennsylvania Match Factory.  Visit many historic Bellefonte sites, meet characters, famous, infamous, and ordinary who formed and transformed the town into the beautiful place it is today.

We have tried to be as historically accurate as possible with the information and characters using resources such as Historic Bellefonte, Inc., Centre County Library & Historical Museum and local Walking Tour Guides..

Travel back in time on a History on Wheels Guided Bus Tour. Meet some historic community members as they board the bus to share their unique contribution to Bellefonte.

This event is presented in cooperation with the Bellefonte Women’s Club, Tour Committee, and Historic Bellefonte, Inc. Bellefonte Victorian Christmas Committee.
